bareMinerals Made-2-Fit Foundation Review

When I got the email from Influenster that said I was in this VoxBox, you don’t how EXCITED I was! Ever since I’ve heard about the bareMinerals Made-2-Fit foundation, I was interested in trying it out but I never got around to it! Until now that is! I did receive this foundation for free but all opinions are mine!

 

The Process

 

 

 

You have to download the free bareMinerals Made-2-Fit app. When you open the app, it looks like the first picture! It has a video tutorial on how to scan your face that you can watch first to learn how to begin the scanning process. Under the “products” section is where you can find the custom foundation after you finish scanning. You’ll be able to see the shade you’ll receive. The shade isn’t going to be exactly the same as what you will receive obviously but it’s very close! So I recommend checking that before you order so you can redo your scan if you feel like you need to! I also suggest watching the video tutorial once through before starting the scan! It’s very short but very helpful! When you start a scan, it will guide you step by step on exactly what to do! It does take a few tries to get used to the process but it’s very easy once you get used to it! You have to remove your phone case from your phone and calibrate your phone by tapping it on a stack of white paper in order to get an accurate scan.

 

 

 

Once your phone has been calibrated, you have to tap your phone’s camera on your wrist, forehead, right and left cheek, and right and left jaw. I recommend doing your scan in a well-lit room in front of a mirror so you can see exactly what part of your face you’re scanning! This will definitely help you avoid any dark spots or freckles that could mess up the accuracy of your scan. The whole scanning process takes only about 5 minutes!

 

The Foundation

 

I am so IMPRESSED by this foundation! It matches my skin PERFECTLY! I honestly can’t believe that an app and my iPhone camera created a custom shade perfect for me! The foundation has a sheer-to-medium coverage but it can be built up more by adding another layer or two, which is what I do! It’s so easy to blend and it lasts all day! It does give your skin a glowy and luminous look but I didn’t mind it at all! According to bareMinerals’ website, this weightless formula contains nourishing and antioxidant ingredients including green tea extract, Vitamin E and peptides as well as ceramide, chamomile and white lily flower for an instantly younger-looking, more beautiful you! The packaging of this foundation is also so AMAZING! I love that it has a pump which makes the application easy and mess-free! It comes in a glass bottle that has your name on it! How cute is that?!

I’m wearing the foundation in the picture below. I’m wearing about 2 and a half layers to achieve the more medium to high coverage!
