Happy Wednesday!
I’m back with another DIY Face Mask post but this time for the Spring! The winter weather can really wreak havoc on your skin but these five easy and quick face masks should help give you healthy, glowing skin in no time!
Banana Mask
What You’ll Need
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon
- 1/4 cup oats
Instructions
Mash the banana into a paste. Add the honey, lemon, and oats and mix together. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes and then apply all over your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash and pat dry your face.
Benefits
This face mask is especially great for those who have oily or acne-prone skin! Bananas are rich in antioxidants which help nourish the skin. The oats gently exfoliate your skin while the lemon brightens your skin complexion.
Cucumber Mint Mask
What You’ll Need
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 teaspoon plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon milk powder (optional)
Instructions
Wash and cut the cucumber into pieces. Add the cucumber, yogurt, mint leaves, and milk powder (if you choose to use it) into a blender and mix until you have a smooth mixture. Apply the mixture onto your face and neck for 20 minutes.
Benefits
Cucumber contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and caffeic acid, both of which help soothe skin irritations. Mint also soothes the skin and can help reduce oily skin. The lactic acid in yogurt works as an exfoliator removing dead skin and revealing brighter, younger skin.
Strawberry & Chocolate Mask
What You’ll Need
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions
Mash up the strawberries and add in the cocoa powder and some honey if you choose to and mix together. Apply it to your face and wash with warm water after 15 minutes.
Benefits
Strawberries contain lots of anti-oxidants that help boost up collagen production, minimize fine lines and wrinkles, lighten your skin, and reduce dark circles. Cocoa powder helps repair your skin cells and rejuvenate your face.
Green Apple Mask
What You’ll Need
- 1 green apple
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 tablespoon yogurt
Instructions
Cut the apple into slices and place into a blender and blend until it’s an apple sauce consistency. Mix in the honey and yogurt and apply by massaging it into your skin gently and leaving it on for 15 minutes.
Benefits
Green apples can deeply moisturize your skin, eliminate the appearance of wrinkles, improve the overall texture of your skin, and hydrate your skin. Honey is very moisturizing and soothing, giving your skin a glow.
Green Tea & Orange Mask
What You’ll Need
- 1 tablespoon orange pulp
- 1/2 teaspoon green tea powder
Instructions
Mix the orange pulp and green tea powder together and apply it to your face. Leave on for 20 minutes.
Benefits
Oranges have a high content of citric acid which can help dry acne and they also a natural bleaching agent that can lighten dark spots. Green tea powder helps shrink pores and removes excess oil from the skin.

OMG! I need to try the green tea and orange mask! It sounds so good for my acne prone skin. I would be too scared to try anything with yogurt in it since dairy breaks me out.
