Happy Wednesday!

I’m back with another DIY Face Mask post but this time for the Spring! The winter weather can really wreak havoc on your skin but these five easy and quick face masks should help give you healthy, glowing skin in no time!

Banana Mask

What You’ll Need

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon
  • 1/4 cup oats

Instructions

Mash the banana into a paste. Add the honey, lemon, and oats and mix together. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes and then apply all over your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash and pat dry your face.

Benefits

This face mask is especially great for those who have oily or acne-prone skin! Bananas are rich in antioxidants which help nourish the skin. The oats gently exfoliate your skin while the lemon brightens your skin complexion.

Cucumber Mint Mask

What You’ll Need

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 teaspoon plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon milk powder (optional)

Instructions

Wash and cut the cucumber into pieces. Add the cucumber, yogurt, mint leaves, and milk powder (if you choose to use it) into a blender and mix until you have a smooth mixture. Apply the mixture onto your face and neck for 20 minutes.

Benefits

Cucumber contains ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and caffeic acid, both of which help soothe skin irritations. Mint also soothes the skin and can help reduce oily skin. The lactic acid in yogurt works as an exfoliator removing dead skin and revealing brighter, younger skin.

Benefits

Strawberries contain lots of anti-oxidants that help boost up collagen production, minimize fine lines and wrinkles, lighten your skin, and reduce dark circles. Cocoa powder helps repair your skin cells and rejuvenate your face.

These masks get better and better as you read through them. I’ve done a banana and honey mask before but the others are new to me and sound amazing. Thanks for sharing your mask recipe’s I’ll be making my way through them and trying every single one over the following weeks.

OMG! I need to try the green tea and orange mask! It sounds so good for my acne prone skin. I would be too scared to try anything with yogurt in it since dairy breaks me out.
