5 Tips For Longer Looking Lashes

In today’s post we’re talking all things lashes! Lashes can really take your makeup look to the next level. But if you’re anything like me, you don’t like spending extra time putting on false lashes for your day-to-day looks. Luckily, I have pretty long, voluminous lashes naturally but these FIVE tips that I use everyday will help anyone get longer looking lashes!

Tip 1: Use An Eyelash Primer

The easiest way to get longer looking lashes is to use an eyelash primer before you use mascara. I’m currently using the Grande Cosmetics Eyelash Primer which I have a review on that you can read here!

 

Tip 2: Warm Up Your Mascara

Put your mascara tube in a glass of hot water to help de-clump the mascara and turn it back into an easier to apply formula. When you take it out it will be much smoother and allow you to get the best results on your lashes!

 

Tip 3: Layer A Few Different Mascaras

I like to use one coat of a few different mascaras to layer on top of each other to get the fullest thickness, volume, and length that I can! Don’t overdo it because they can get clumpy but you can experiment with the mascaras you have to find the right combination for you! One of the combos I use is the Almay One Coat Thickening Mascara, which thickens my lashes, the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara, which has a big brush that I use to lengthen my lashes, and the Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara, which volumizes my lashes.

 

Tip 4: Wiggle Your Mascara Brush

Instead of just swiping on your mascara, wiggle the mascara brush from root to tip to keep your lashes curled. This helps give your lashes volume without weighing them down.

 

Tip 5: Apply Mascara On Both Sides Of Your Lashes

I’ve been doing this with my mascara for as long as I can remember, so I’m not sure if people know about this little trick! When applying your mascara, apply it on top of your lashes and then on the underside of your lashes, like you would normally. This tip helps lengthen your lashes and it also ensures that you cover each lash completely giving them more volume!

 

 

These five tips can be used alone or together to achieve longer looking lashes! If you have trouble putting on false lashes or just don’t like the feeling of them, then these tips are PERFECT for achieving similar looks to falsies!
