Hello Lovelies!
About a month ago I received a CoverGirl VoxBox complimentary of Influenster with the TruBlend Matte Made Foundation and Color Neutralizing Primer and today I have a review of both of the products!

CoverGirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation
According to the CoverGirl website, the foundation’s formula is developed with flexi-hold technology that creates a strong, yet flexible film on skin for durability and comfort, while the mattifying powders absorb oil and minimizes pores for a soft matte, flawless finish. The foundations are split into 4 ranges which are Light (L), Medium (M), Tan (T), and Deep (D) with 10 shades varying in warm, cool, and neutral undertones in each!
Foundation Claims:
- 12 Hour Comfort Matte
- Pore Minimizing
- Oil Control
- Transfer Resistant
The foundation has a pump applicator so it’s easy to get the product out which I absolutely love! It has a medium coverage but you can build it up a little! It applies so smoothly to the skin and feels so lightweight – almost as if you don’t even have foundation on! It dries to a beautiful matte finish and looks so smooth and flawless on the skin! I had it on for about 8 hours and it stayed put without breaking up or getting patchy! As for the transfer resistant claim, I don’t completely agree with that because if you touch your face or try to put a shirt on after doing your makeup there will some transfer but it’s not as much as I’ve had with other foundations! With 40 different shades to choose from, this foundation is a great everyday, affordable option and I definitely recommend trying it for yourself! You can get the foundation for less than $9 at Walmart*!
CoverGirl Color Neutralizing Primer
This is a really great primer! I don’t have a lot of redness on my skin so I can’t speak for the actual color neutralizing part of this primer but it does create a smooth base for my makeup which I love! It applies to the skin smoothly and doesn’t feel oily or greasy at all! It feels nice on the skin and helped keep my makeup on all day so I’d also recommend trying out this primer for yourself! You can get the primer for less than $9 at Walmart*!
Have you tried the CoverGirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
Thanks for stopping by!
This foundation looks interesting, I’m after a good long lasting, media coverage foundation so I may have to look at this some more!

Foundation really stays for 12 hrs? If so it is amazing!

That’s what it claims! I don’t typically have makeup on for 12 hours so I haven’t been able to test it that long but I wore it for about 8 hours and it stayed put so I could see it staying for 12 hours! ☺️

Cool review! I’m yet to find a foundation that does NOT come off on clothes, car interiors, etc. Even the high end foundations I’ve tried do that. Let me know if you find one that doesn’t transfer onto your hands after you’ve touched your face, would love to hear about it! xx

I just bought this makeup without sampling it first, but Covergirl has been my go-to brand for foundation. I absolutely love it! It has great coverage without feeling too heavy, which I love, because I have acne-prone skin. I don’t use primer, so it eventually wears off for me, especially during a hot Georgia day, but I really like it, nonetheless.

That’s awesome it’s so long wearing. Slightly sad about the transfer resistant claim cause I’m notorious for getting makeup around my collar or the edges of my t-shirts. It’s the worst!

great post! i love finding drugstore foundations! I haven’t actually tried a covergirl product in a while, they use to be one of my favorite brands. don’t know why i stopped buying their stuff if i’m being honest. i like the upgrade they’ve had on package, reminds me a little of smashbox. i’ll have to pick this up! xx

I’ve been looking for a good primer that neutralizes redness. I’ve never used a Covergirl product, but it may be nice to start with this primer!
