How To Transition Summer Pieces For The Fall

Hey Lovelies!

Fall is here which means it’s time for a complete wardrobe change. Or does it? Just because it’s no longer Summer doesn’t mean you can’t wear your favorite Summer pieces. I’m going to share with you a few ways to transition your Summer staples into the Fall!

During the Fall, the weather can be very unpredictable! Layering pieces like kimonos, cardigans, and jackets will be your best friend! If it’s colder outside, you can have them on and they’ll keep you warm and if it’s not you can easily take them off! Choose fall-colored (think neutral-toned colors like mauve, cranberry, beige, etc.) pieces to layer over your favorite summer dresses or tops to transition them for the fall!

Layering isn’t just all about the outerwear though! You can also extend your use of all those velvet and slip dresses, or really any other short-sleeved dresses, to the fall by simply adding a long-sleeved turtleneck top or just a plain long-sleeved shirt under your dresses!

Thank you so much! I’m currently loving trench coats (even though I don’t have one yet haha)! They add such a classy and elegant touch to any outfit! 🙂

I love your style, you’re so chic and gorgeous!! Tights are honestly the best solution to everything, tights and knee/thigh high boots are such a staple for fall, and Primark do insanely snuggly fleece lined tights as well 😏❤️

I love this post and your style! Autumn is my favourite season but I do love my summer clothes so rather than packing them away, I’ll certainly be trying out your tips – many thanks!!!

Yupp, I adore boots and tights! They’re my favourite items during Autumn/Winter. I have been lusting after a button down skirt for weeks and I’ve finally got one. Can’t wait to match with tights and boots! Going to look great and I can even wear during Summer. Definitely going to continue my Summer wardrobe into Winter. I also love adding jumpers to my favourites blouses and checkered shirts.

I love seeing how others change it up.
Just wearing tights under my summer wardrobe, and sticking a cardi on is the extent of my seasonal change!
I am currently experimenting with a capsule wardrobe of 33 pieces and layers feature heavily… Or lightly, depending on how many you wear I guess!

so many good ways to transition into fall! I personally love layering, throwing a sweater over a sleeveless dress is a staple for me when i’m working. I just got into wearing booties this season and i can’t believe i didn’t do this earlier they make such a casual outfit so much more pulled together. I love it! xx

Hahaha! I saw your previous comment about loving trench coats but not having one yet. Me either and I’ve blogged about a few and am getting ready to feature another, so there’s no excuse! Love your style – thanks so much for the ideas!
