Fall is here which means it’s time for a complete wardrobe change. Or does it? Just because it’s no longer Summer doesn’t mean you can’t wear your favorite Summer pieces. I’m going to share with you a few ways to transition your Summer staples into the Fall!
LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS!
During the Fall, the weather can be very unpredictable! Layering pieces like kimonos, cardigans, and jackets will be your best friend! If it’s colder outside, you can have them on and they’ll keep you warm and if it’s not you can easily take them off! Choose fall-colored (think neutral-toned colors like mauve, cranberry, beige, etc.) pieces to layer over your favorite summer dresses or tops to transition them for the fall!
Layering isn’t just all about the outerwear though! You can also extend your use of all those velvet and slip dresses, or really any other short-sleeved dresses, to the fall by simply adding a long-sleeved turtleneck top or just a plain long-sleeved shirt under your dresses!
Scarves don’t just keep you warm but they can be an accessory piece that brings together a look! They can be paired over your favorite summer tops or over a dress for the perfect fall look!
You can easily swap out those tops you wore with all your favorite summer denim and skater skirts with sweaters! You can also layer a sweater over a summer dress!
Simply add some tights under your summer dresses or skirts! It will keep you warm in the fall weather and there are so many different colors and designs that there’s always a way to make each outfit look unique!
You can never have too many boots and booties for the fall! But having at least one of each in black, gray, and brown ensures that you always have the perfect shoes for any of your outfits!
